Mechanical Assembler-- 2nd Shift

Summary:
As an ABEC Mechanical Assembler you will assemble and/or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety or tools and equipment according to required specifications.

Responsibilities:
o Fabricate equipment accurately and with proper procedures in a timely manner.
o Strong attention to detail and accuracy in fabrication process.
o Knowledge of all types of hand tools, fabricating equipment, measuring deviceso Work on stainless steel fabrication, including to but not limited to:
o Cutting tubeo Operate hand grinderso Polishingo Bendingo Assemblyo NDT/Liquid Penetrate all inside welds on an electro-polished vessels.
o Install and maintain utility/service lines.
o Operate overhead crane and/or forklift.
o Physically capable of wearing protective eye, ear, and head gear.
o Must be able to stand 8
hours per day.
o Inspect and maintain proper and safe operation of all shop equipment.
o Conduct operations in a safe manner.
o Recommend improvements.
o Execute other tasks as assigned.
o Ability to travel when required.
Requirements:
o High School Graduate or equivalent.
o Two (2) years previous Fabrication experience.
o Experience with MIG & TIG stainless steel welding methods & techniques.
o Ability to read tape measure and perform simple mathematical equations.
o Aptitude with blueprint reading.
o Proficient with the use of hand tools and basic fabrication tools.
o Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
/ 23 kilograms.
o Typical work is in a manufacturing environment or customer's site.
o Required to stand for long periods of time and may involve heavy manual labor.
o You will need to be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, push, pull, and carry items.
o Exposure to loud noises.
o Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
